At'ta ocular squamous cell carcinoma

Abstract

Altı yaşlı haflinger ırkı kısrakta, sol gözü tamamen kaplayan bir tümör olgusu tanımlanmıştır. İnhalasyon anestezisi altında "Transpalpebral exenteration bulbi" yöntemiyle bulbus oculi ve çevre dokuları extirpasyonu yapılmıştır. Histopatolojik muayenede tümörün bulbar konjunktivadan köken alan squamous cell carcinoma oldugu saptanmıştır. Operasyon sonrası tam bir iyileşme gözlenmiş, altı ay sonra yapılan kontrolde nükse ilişkin bir bulguya rastlanmamıştır.A case of tumor in the left eye of a 6 year old mare was presented. Bulbus oculi and adnexa was surgically removed by the method of "Transpalpebral exenteration bulbi" under inhalation anesthesia.Histopathologically, it was determined that tumor was ansmg from bulbar conjunctiva, and was described as squamous cell carcinoma. The animal recovered well and no recurrence were noticed six months after surgery.
