Abstract
Öğretmen yetiştirme işi 1983 yılından beri üniversitelere devredilerek bu alan da yapısal ve kurumsal yeni bir düzenleme yapılmıştır. Sınırlı da olsa bazı araştırmalar ÜSS'nin (üniversitelerarası Seçme Sınavı) uygun öğretmen adaylarını seçmede yetersiz kaldığını ortaya çıkartmaktadır. Bu ne denle, ÜSS'ye ek olarak diğer seçme yollarına ve yeni yaklaşımların araştırılmasına gereksinim vardır. Zira öğretmen eğitiminin istenen insan gücü eğitimine etkisi çok büyüktür. Bu makalede kaliteli öğretmen yetiştirmede seçmenin gereği ve önemi, seçme yolları, kullanılacak ölçütlerin saptanması tartışılarak öneriler getirilmiştir.
The responsibility of training students for their teaching career has been transferred to the universities since 1983. As a result of this approach, teacher training has gained a totally new structural and institutional appearance. Despite limited studies, ÜSS (University entrance exam) has been found as a rather insufficient means for granting adequate teacher candidates. Therefore, it is necessary and vitel to explore new methods and approaches besides USS since teacher training has the primary impact on the whole education of required man power. The purpose of this article was to explore the answers for the questions of necessity and importance of selection itself, the ways used for selecting teacher candidates and establishing selection criteria. At the end, some valid and effective ways were recommended.
