Lateral epikondilit tedavisinde ultrason, plasebo ultrason ve TENS'in karşılaştırılması

Abstract

Lateral epikondilitli (LE) hastalarda ultrason ve plasebo ultrasonun (US) etkisini karşılaştırmak ve transkutanöz elektriksel sinir stimülasyonunun (TENS) bu hastalarda seçenek bir tedavi yöntemi olup olmadığını araştırmak amacıyla çalışmayı planladık Çalışmaya katılan 46 hastanın 7'sinde bilateral lateral epikondilit vardı. Böylece çalışma grubunu oluşturan 53 LE li olgunun 18'ine US, 18'ine TENS ve 17'sine plasebo US uygulandı. Çalışma sonunda US ve TENS'in LE tedavisinde yararlı olduğu ancak US'un daha etkili olduğu kanısına varıldı.

We have carried out a study to compare the efficacy of both ultrasound and placebo ultrasound therapy on patients with lateral epicondylitis and to investigate whetlıer TENS is an alternative therapeutic method for these patients. Of 46 patients who participated in our study, 7 had bilateral lateral epicondylitis. Thus, the number of cases with lateral epicondylitis amounted to 53. Of these, 18 were performed ultrasound, 18 TENS, 17 placebo ultrasound. As a consequence of our studies, we have come to the conclusion that ultrasound and TENS are beneficial in the treatment of lateral epicondylitis but that ultrasound is more effective.
