Abstract
This study investigates the impact of physical damage on the total amount of power generated by the solar panel in various directions and angles. Moreover, thermal camera was used for identification of heating in the examined PV panel. Climatic data were measured simultaneously to determine the performance of the panel as well. The produced power from PV panel was decreased 34.13% in north, 17.07% in west and 14.92% in east comparing to the south faced. Although the increase of the angle in all directions increased the energy output, only decrease was determined after 70° in the south facing. The physically damaged PV panel was convert 9.34% of total capacity in the most efficient working position (south faced - 72°). On the other hand, an average heating of PV panel surface area was 38.6 °C with no uniform heating distribution where the hottest and physically damaged spots were 43.2 °C and 41.3 °C, respectively.
