Abstract
Bu makalede, son yıllarda özellikle su kaynaklı akut gastroenteritis salgınları ile ilişkili bir patojen olduğu kabul edilen Plesiomonas shigelloides (P. shigelloides)’in, özellikleri ve taksonomideki yeri, gelişim koşulları, doğada ve konakçılarda bulunuşu, virulans faktörleri ve patojenitesi, enfeksiyon kaynakları ve seyri ile kontrolü hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir.
In this review, information is given about the specifications, place in taxinomication, growing conditions, presence in nature and host, virulans factors and pathogenesis, infection sources, progress and control of Plesiomonas shigelloides (P. shigelloides); which its relation with water based acute gastroenteritis epidemic is accepted in the last few years.
