Abstract
Akarların preparatları Düzgüneş (1980)'in belirttiği yönteme göre yapılmıştır.
There has been no study on the fauna of mites on olive groves in Bursa. This study was carried out to determine the mite species on olive groves of Bursa (Turkey). Weekly observations were conducted in 15 orchards located at Gemlik, Mudanya, Nilüfer, Orhangazi ve Osmangazi, at districts where olive growing were important, from 2000 to 2003. Branch and leave samples were collected from various levels and sides of olive tree. This samples which were brought to laboratory were examined and then samples were kept in Berlese funnel during 2 days. The slides of extracted mites were made according to the method suggested by Düzgüneş (1980). According to the results of this study, a total of 7 species of 2 phytophagous, 2 predators and 3 neutral mite species was found in olive groves. On the other hand, pest mites, Brevipalpus oleae Baker and Aceria oleae (Nalepa) and predator mite, Anthoseius involutus Liv.& Kuzn. reached to population density which attracted attention were observed.
