| dc.description.abstract | Bu makalede kavramların anlam bakımından boşalması ile gerçeklik hissinin yitirilmesi arasında, terimleri Kant düşüncesi çerçevesinde ele alarak bağlantı kurmaya çalışacağız. Filozoflar, hatta yanıltıcı doğası nedeniyle hissetme yetisine hiç güvenmeyenler bile bu yetide göz ardı edemeyecekleri bir şey bulmuşlardır. Hisleri bilginin tek kaynağı olarak gören ampirist filozofları ayrı tutarsak, Kant’ın hissetmeye yönelik tutumunu, bir bilme yetisi olarak hissetmenin itibarını iade etme diye tarif etmek haddini aşan bir ifade olmayacaktır. Kant’a göre hissetme, düşünme yetisi kadar değerli ve kaynak teşkil edici bir bilme yetisidir. Bu makalede, hissetme yetisini vazgeçilmez kılan şeylerin, his ile ilgili tek şüphe götürmez şey olan her hissin tekliği ile genel olarak kabul edildiği gibi irademizden bağımsızlığı olduğunu tespit edeceğiz. Kant’a göre gerçekliğin ne olduğunu ve insan bilgisi bakımından nasıl sadece tezahürlere sınırlandığını açıkladıktan sonra, bir kavramın kapsamı (veya küresi) ile içeriği arasında yaptığı ayrımı ve içeriğin kapsam genişledikçe daralmasını değerlendireceğiz. Son olarak ise, bu ayrımdan hareketle ‘sanal gerçeklik’ olarak kullanıldığında gerçeklik kavramının boşaldığını, anlamını yitirdiğini öne süreceğiz. | tr_TR |
| dc.description.abstract | In this essay, we will try to construct a relation between concepts’ becoming empty of sense and loss of the sense of reality by taking each term in its Kantian sense. Throughout history, philosophers, even who do not lay much trust on sensibility due to its misleading nature, find something indispensable in it. If we let aside empiricist philosophers who take sensibility to be the sole source of cognition, it will not be extravagant to characterize Kant’s approach as the restitution of the dignity of sensibility as a faculty of knowing, which is as equally valuable and original as the faculty of thinking. We will argue that what makes sensibility indispensable is what is indubitable in sensation, that is, its uniqueness and also, as a generally accepted fact, its independence from our will. After explaining what reality is according to Kant and how it is restricted to mere appearances in so far as human cognition is concerned, we will elaborate the distinction he makes between the extension (or sphere) of a concept and its content, and how the content diminishes due to the expansion of the concept’s extension. Finally, depending on this distinction, we will argue that the concept of reality is emptied and denuded of sense when it is employed in the expression “virtual reality.” | en_US |
