Abstract
Marmara Hayvancılık Araştırma Enstitüsündeki Karacabey Merinosu koyunların 1998-2000 yılları arasındaki doğumlarına ait 1316 veri analiz edilmiştir. Gebelik süresi ortalaması 150.97 ± 0.054 gün olmuştur. Gebelik süresi yıl, kuzu cinsiyeti, ana yaşı (P<0.01) ve doğum tipi (P<0.05) tarafından istatistiki olarak önemli düzeyde etkilenmiştir. Doğum ağırlığı ile gebelik süresi arasındaki fenotipik korelasyon katsayısı 0.077 ± 0.028 olarak bulunmuştur (P<0.05).
Data on 1316 lambings between 1998-2000 of Karacabey Merino sheep at the Marmara Livestock Research Institute were analyzed. Gestation length averaged at 150.97 ± 0.054 days. Gestation length was affected by year, sex of lambs, mother age (P<0.01) and birth type (P<0.05) were statistically significant. The phenotypic correlation coefficient between birth weight and gestation length was 0.077±0.028 (P<0.05).
