| dc.description.abstract | Evrendeki canlı ve cansızları sahip oldukları çeşitli özelliklere göre sınıflama insanoğluna çok önemli kolaylıklar sağlamaktadır. Yapılan sınıflama sonucunda olaylar basit hale gelmekte ve anlaşılabilirliği artmaktadır. Bu amaçla kullanılan istatistiksel tekniklerden biri, kümeleme analizidir. Kümeleme analizi, çok boyutlu uzayda birbirine yakın olan gözlemlerden meydana gelen grupları veya kümeleri araştıran bir çok değişkenli istatistiksel analiz tekniğidir. k-ortalama yöntemi ise küme sayısı önceden bilinen verilerin, doğal kümelerini araştırmada kullanılan bir kümeleme analizi yöntemidir. Bu çalışmada, Uludağ Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi İngiliz Dili Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı öğrencilerinin bir örneklemi ele alınmıştır. Araştırılan konu, öğrencilerin mevcut şube dağılımları ile k-ortalama yöntemine göre elde edilen doğal şubelerin sonuçlarının, tutarlı olup olmadığını belirlemektir. | tr_TR |
| dc.description.abstract | Classification of the animate and inanimale things in the universe according to their various properties provides human beings with very important conveniences. As a result of this classification, phenomena become uncomplicated and more comprehensible. One of the statistical technigues utilised for this purpose is cluster analysis. Cluster analysis is a multivariate statistical analysing technique that investigates the groups or sets that consist of observations close to one anather in multi-dimensional space. As for k-means method, it is a cluster analysis technique which is used to investigate natural cluster of datum whose number of clusters are known. In this work, a sample group among the students at English Language Teaching Department of the Faculty of Education of Uludağ University is studied. The aim was to investigate if there is consistency between present cluster of students to the ir sections and their natural cluster obtained by means of k-means method. | en_US |
