Erişkinde outpatient herniorafi

Abstract

Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Genel Cerrahi Ana Bilim Dalında Haziran 1985-Nisan 1987 tarihleri arasında (23 ay) 50 erişkin olguya outpatient olarak herniorafi uygulanmıştır . Outpatient grupta postoperatif komplikasyon; 2 olguda yara infeksiyonu, 1 olguda nüks olarak (gerçek nüks olmayıp gözden kaçmış bir indirekt herni) saptanmıştır. İnpatient 10 olguda yara infeksizyonu 2 olguda görülmüş ve 4-18 aylık takipte nüks saptanmamıştır. Outpatient olarak planlanıp inpatient gruba transfer olan olgu ayısı 2'dir (% 4). Yazıda erişkin tip inguinal ve femoral hernilerde outpatient herniorafi uygulamasının (lokal anestezi) ekonomik yönden % 43 daha ucuz olduğu ve post op. komplikasyonlar yönünden belirgin bir fark olmadığı vurgulandı ve bu konuda literatür verileri gözden geçirildi.At the Surgical Department of Uludağ University Medical School 50 outpatient herniorrhaphy were carried out in adults between june, 1985 and april 1987 (23 months) . Mean age was 52 ( 18·86) and female, male ratio was 6/.44. Local anesthesia ( 42 cases) and epidural anesthesia was used (8 cases). Postoperative complications were wound infection (2 cases), recurrent hernia (it was not real recurrence, but it was an recognized indirect hernia) The 2 of 50 patients transferred to inpatient group, because of the severe pain and nausea and vomiting. In this paper it has been stressed that herniorrhaphy can be accomplished safely as an outpatient procedure in adults and more cheaper than inpatient procedure.
