Soil pollution has become an increasingly important environmental problem. In this study, heavy metal analyzes were carried out in the soils around 26 drainage canals in the Harran Plain, where intensive agriculture has been carried out for many years, between May - 2020 and October - 2020, and the possible sources of these elements and the pollution status were evaluated with multi-statistical techniques. The data were evaluated according to national and international legislation. According to the legislation evaluation, no limit value exceedances were found in the parameters Al, Ba, Be, Cd, Co, Cu, Li, Mn, Mo, Pb, V and Zn according to TKKY and WHO. However, the limit values were exceeded in 1.92% of the samples for the Cr parameter, 76.92% for the Fe parameter and 80.77% for the Ni parameter. With one way ANOVA analysis, while Al, Cd, Cr, Fe, Li, Mn, Mo and V elements differed among the sampling points, Ba, Be, Fe, Li, Ni, Pb and Zn showed significant differences in terms of sampling periods. As a result of factor analysis (FA), three principal components explained 78.89% of the total variance. The first factor (F1) explained 46.52% of the total variance, the second factor (F2) explained 66.46% and the third factor (F3) explained 78.89%. When the data were evaluated; it was concluded that the soils that interact with or are irrigated with drainage waters that have pollution loads such as heavy metals, pesticides etc. were affected by this pollution load.
