Abstract
Gladiolus çiçeklerinin vazo ömrünü uzatmak amacıyla yapılan bu çalışmada, "White prosperity" çeşidi çiçekleri kullanılmıştır. Çiçekler a) % 4 sakkaroz + 2 mM Gümüş tiyosülfat ile 30 dakika ön uygulama sonrası saf suya aktamıa, b) % 4 sakkaroz + 0.5 mM Nikel klorid, c) % 4 sakkaroz + % 0.025 Potasyum Alüminyum sülfat, d) Gladiolus-Chrysal, e) Kontrol (saf su) solüsyonları içeren cam kavanozlara konuşmuşlardır. Elde edilen analiz sonuçlarına göre, en uzun vazo ömrü ortalama 8.6 günle % 4 sakkaroz + 0.5 mM Nikel klorid'den elde edilmiş, bunu 7.8 günle % 4 sakkaroz + 2 mM Gümüş tiyosülfat ile 30 dakika ön uygulama ve Gladiolus-Chrysal, 7.6 günle % 4 sakkaroz + % 0.025 Potasyum Alüminyum sülfat izlemiş, en az vazo ö1mü ise 7 .2 günle kontrolden elde edilmiştir.
In this study which was conducted to prolong the vase life of Gladiolus flowers, the flowers of cv. White Prosperity were used as material. The floıvers were to subjected a) Pretreatment for 30 min. with 4 % sucrose + 2 mM silver thiosulphate and then transfer to distilled water, b) 4 % sucrose + 0.5 mM nickel chloride, c) 4 % sucrose % 0.025 % potassium aluminum sulphate, d) Gladiolus-Chrysal, e) Control (distilled water). The flowers were put into glass jars containing these solutions. According to the results of the analyses, the longest vase life was obtained from the treatment of 4 % sucrose + 0.5 mM nickel chloride with on average of 8.6 days and this was followed by pretreatment with 4 % sucrose + 2 mM silver thiosulphate for 30 min. and gladiolus chrysal with 7.8 days, 4 % sucrose + 0.025 % potassium aluminum sulphate with 7.6 days, while the shortest vase life was obtained from the control with 7.2 days.
