En sık görülen intrauterin enfeksiyon olan sitomegalovirus enfeksiyonu, fetus için teratojenik olması nedeni ile büyük önem taşır. Anneden fetusa geçişin nasıl olduğu tam olarak anlaşılamamıştır. Bu yazıda, sitomegalovirus enfeksiyonu hakkında halen mevcut bilgilerimiz literatür gözden geçirilerek takdim edilmiştir.
The most frequent intrauferine infection, cytomegalovirus, carries great significance because of the teratogenity to the fetus. It is unclear how the transmission to the fetus occurs. In this paper, our current knowledge about CMV infection is presented with the review of the literature.
