Farklı bölümlerden gelen öğrencilerin, “desen” ve “grafik desen” eğitiminde karşılaştıkları zorluklar: Bursa Uludağ ve Kastamonu Üniversitesi modelleri

Abstract

Plastik sanatlar dalında eğitim alan öğrencilerin geçmesi gereken oldukça uzun bir süreç vardır. Bu süreç; meslek yüksekokulları grafik programlarında çok daha kısa bir zaman içerisinde verilmek durumundadır. Ayrıca son yıllarda eğitim politikalarında yapılan değişikliklerle birlikte; meslek yüksekokulları grafik programlarına girişte, grafik bölümünden mezun olma şartı ortadan kalkmış ve öğrencilerin ortaöğretim alanlarının dışındaki bölümleri seçebilmeleri mümkün hale gelmiştir. Bu durum özellikle yetenek gerektiren derslerde, farklı bölümlerden gelen öğrencilerin zorlanmalarına, derse ilginin azalmasına, bu nedenle de dersten başarısız olarak her sene yeniden dersi alttan almalarına neden olmaktadır. Sanat/tasarım eğitimi alan öğrencilerin; temel sanat öğelerini öğrenip, uygulayabilmeleri için “Desen” dersine gereksinimleri vardır. Böylece öğrenci farklı çizim teknikleri kullanmayı öğrenirken; bu teknikleri desen ilkeleri ile birleştirme deneyimi kazanmaktadır. Hem farklı teknikleri hem de çeşitli ilkeleri kullanmayı öğrenen öğrenci, yaptığı gözlemler sayesinde görsel algısını da geliştirmektedir. Seçilen sanat/tasarım disiplinine göre alınan desen dersinin üzerine diğer sanat eğitimi modelleri eklenmektedir. Grafik branşında “Grafik Desen” önemli ve gerekli derslerden biridir. Bu derste öğrenci, desen dersinde aldığı temel eğitimi grafiksel bir anlatımla sunabilmeyi öğrenir. “Desen” dersi becerileri, “Grafik Desen” dersinin üsluplaştırma, yalınlaştırma ve bozumsama teknikleri yardımıyla tasarımsal bir tabana oturtulur. Böylece grafik tasarım atölye derslerine altyapı hazırlanır. Araştırma; ortaöğretim kurumlarının farklı alanlarından mezun olarak, ön lisans grafik tasarım programlarına girmeye hak kazanan öğrencilerin; bölüm derslerine uyum düzeylerini bulgulamayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaçla; 2012–2013 Akademik yılında Uludağ Üniversitesi Teknik Bilimler Meslek Yüksekokulu ve Kastamonu Üniversitesi Kastamonu Meslek Yüksekokulu Grafik Tasarım Programlarında eğitim gören öğrenciler örneklem olarak alınacaktır. Öğrencilerin ortaöğretim mezuniyet alanları, derslere ilişkin tutumları gibi verilerin elde edilebilmesi amacıyla tarama yöntemi uygulanacaktır. Ek olarak, öğrencilerin “Desen” /“Grafik Desen” derslerindeki çalışmaları ve notları araştırma için derlenecektir. Bu yöntemle, öğrencilerin ortaöğretim mezuniyet alanları ile söz konusu derslerdeki çalışmaları ve notları arasındaki ilişkinin saptanması hedeflenmektedir.

The students training in plastic arts, have a rather lengthy process to go through. This period must be given in a much shorter time at vocational schools of higher education graphic programs. In addition, the condition of graduated fr om graphic department had been removed for entrance to graphic programs and it has become the students being able to choose outside their field of secondary education with changes at educational policies in recent years. This situation, leads to the students from different departments were not capable, reduction of interest to the course, therefore, re-course every year by failing to take the course, particularly at courses which requires skills. Art /design students are in need of "Drawing" course to learn and apply the basic design elements. Thus, the students learn to use different drawing techniques and gain the experience of merging these techniques with the principles of design. The students who learn to use different techniques as well as various principles improve visual perception by his observations. Other art education models are added to “Drawing” course according to the selected art/ design discipline. "Graphical Drawing" is one of the important and necessary courses at graphic branch. In this course, students learn to be able to present the basic skills with a graphical expression. “Drawing" class skills placed to the design base with the help of "Graphical Drawing" course’s stylization, abstraction and deformation techniques. Thus, the infrastructure is prepared graphic design studio courses. The research aims to detect the student’s congruence levels to branch courses who were graduated from different areas at secondary education and eligible to take undergraduate graphic design programs. For this purpose, students training in 2012- 2013 academic year at Graphic Design Programs of Kastamonu University Kastamonu Vocational School of Higher Education and Uludağ University Vocational School of Technical Sciences will be taken as a sample. Survey method will be applied in order to obtain such data like areas of graduation from secondary education and attitudes to the courses. In addition, the studies and scores of student’s "Pattern" - "Graphical Drawing" courses will be compiled for research. In this way, aimed to determine the association between the areas in secondary education and studies-scores of the mentioned courses. Through this research which is considered to be appropriate one of the Triennial Symposium’s issues "Sustainability/ Continuity", it will be able to improve the quality of art/ designeducation.
