Abstract
Bu araştırmada, görsel sanatlar eğitiminin ilköğretim 1. kademedeki eğitilebilir zihinsel engelli öğrencilerin motor beceri gelişimine katkısı ele alınmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında görsel sanatlar eğitiminde zihinsel engelli bireylerin motor beceri gelişimi için uygulanması gereken doğru etkinliklerin belirlenmesine ve görsel sanatlar eğitiminin özel eğitim içindeki öneminin vurgulanmasına çalışılmıştır. Araştırma 2009-2010 eğitim-öğretim yılında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bursa il sınırları içerisinde yer alan on beş özel eğitim kurumunda anket çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Otuz üç soruluk anket, bu kurumlarda çalışan seksen beş özel eğitim öğretmeninin görüşü alınarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar tablolar halinde özetlenmiştir. Tablolar yorumlanarak sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmalardan elde edilen bulgulara göre; araştırmaya katılan öğretmenlerin büyük çoğunluğu görsel sanatlar eğitiminin, zihinsel engelli çocukların gelişiminde etkili ve gerekli olduğunu düşünmektedirler. Ayrıca yine araştırmaya katılan öğretmenler görsel sanatlar dersinin, öğrencilerin motor becerilerini geliştirmekte fayda sağladığı ve el-göz koordinasyonunu geliştirdiğini ifade etmişlerdir. Özel eğitim veren kurumlarda ki genel sorun; görsel sanatlar dersi için branş öğretmeninin bulunmaması, atölye çalışmaları için gerekli mekan ve malzeme sağlanamamasıdır. Ayrıca, Özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin de görsel sanatlar eğitimi hakkında yeterli donanıma sahip olamaması genel sorunun bir parçasıdır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda, zihinsel engelli çocukların motor beceri düzeylerinin geliştirilmesi için temel ince motor hareketleri geliştirmeyi içeren sanat eğitimi programına yer verilmesi, kurumlarda sanat eğitimcisi ve sanat atölyesi bulundurulması önerilmiştir.
In this research, the contribution of visual arts training to the development of engine skills for the educable children with mental disabilities who are in the first level of the primary schools was considered. Within the scope of this research, it has been tried to determine the true activities required to apply during the development of hand skills of the mentally handicapped individuals for the education of visual arts and to emphasize the location of the education for visual arts in the special education.The research was performed during the academic year of 2009-2010. Surveys were performed in fifteen schools of private training located within the provincial borders of Bursa. A thirty-three-question-survey was performed by means of taking the opinions of the eighty five teachers of private training employed in those organizations. The obtained results were summarized in queries. The queries were interpreted and concluded.In line with the findings obtained from the research, major part of the teachers participated in the research have the opinion of that visual arts lessons are effective and necessary for the development of the children with mental disabilities. In addition, the teachers participated in the research also stated that the lesson of visual arts benefits to the development of engine skills and developed hand-eye coordination for the students.The general problem for the private training organizations is: the lack of branch teachers for the lessons of visual arts, the required space and material for workshop studies. In addition, teacher?s not being adequately equipped for training of visual arts is part of the overall problem.In line with the findings obtained at the end of the research, it was suggested to be given a place for the art training that includes the development of the basic fine engine movements in order to develop the engine-skill levels of the children with mental disabilities, to impose obligation of keeping available an art trainer and an art studio in organizations and to educate parents on the issue.
