Ali Canip Yöntem’in eğitim ve edebiyat eğitimi hakkındaki düşünceleri

Abstract

Türkiye’de eğitim üzerindeki fikirler ve çabalar Tanzimat’tan sonra hızlanmıştır. Tanzimat’tan sonra Batılı eğitim anlayışlarının ülkede hâkim olması ve Batılı okulların açılması önemli eğitim hareketleridir. Ali Canip Yöntem, eğitim hakkındaki ilk fikirlerini II. Meşrutiyet’ten sonra ortaya koymuştur. Eğitim ve edebiyat eğitimi hakkındaki fikirlerinin ise Cumhuriyet döneminde zenginleştiği ve uygulamaya geçtiği görülmektedir. Ali Canip Yöntem, 1924’te ilk Türkçe-Edebiyat programlarının hazırlanmasında görev almış, bu program hakkında eleştiri ve önerilerini ortaya koymuştur. Ali Canip Yöntem, edebiyat eğitimine edebiyat dersleri için ders kitabı ve yardımcı ders kitabı yazarak da katkıda bulunmuştur. Araştırma, Ali Canip Yöntem edebiyat eğitimi hakkındaki fikirleri ve yazdığı ders kitaplarıyla Türk eğitim tarihindeki önemini ve katkısını ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır.

In Turkey, more ideas were generated and more effort was spent on education after Tanzimat. Following this period, westernized education understandings’ becoming dominant in the country and the opening of western schools were important education movements. Ali Canip Yöntem put forward his first ideas on education after the Second Constitutional period. Yet it is observed that his ideas on education and literature education grew rich and were put into practice during the Republican Period. Ali Canip Yöntem also served in the preparation of the first Turkish-Literature programs in 1924 and rendered his critics and suggestions about them. Ali Canip Yöntem contributed to literaure education by penning literature coursebooks and workbooks as well. The present study aims to reveal Ali Canip Yöntem’s ideas on literature education and his importance in and contribution to the Turkish literature history together with the coursebooks he penned.
