Neonatal sepsiste lökosit fonksiyonları

Abstract

Neonatal sepsiste lökosit fonksiyonlarını inceleyen araştırmalar az sayıdadır. Bu konuda daha geniş araştırmaların yapılması gerekmektedir. Bu nedenle planlanan bu çalışmada, 40 neonatal sepsisli hasta ile 25 normal yenidoğanın lökosit fonksiyon test sonuçları kıyaslandığında, sepsis ilerde fagositik ve bakterisidal aktivitelerde anlamlı düşüklükler belirlenmiştir. Bozuklukların hastalığın klinik gidişi üzerine olumsuz etki yapabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.

Leukocyte functions in neonatal sepsis have been investigated in a few studies. More studies are needed to clarify the subject. In this prospective and controlled study, a comparison of the results of leukocyte function tests of 40 neonatal sepsis cases and 25 normal newborn children revealed significant deficiency in phagocytic and bactericidal activities of leukocytes of septic newborns. It was concluded that these alterations may, adversely, affect the clinical course of the disease.
