dc.description.abstractGastrointestinal sistem benign darlıkları endoskopik tedavisi mümkün olabilen patolojilerdir. Bu makale ile Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi (UÜTF) Gastroenteroloji Bilim Dalı Endoskopi Ünitesinde Özofagus benign darlıklarında yapılmış olan dilatasyon işlemleri ile ilgili verilerin paylaşılması amaçlanmıştır. Ocak 2006 ve Eylül 2010 tarihleri arasında disfaji, bulantı,kusma gibi semptomlarla polikliniğimize başvuran ve özofageal benign darlık tespit edilen 76 hastanın demografik bilgileri ve yapılan dilatasyon işlemleri ile ilgili verileri retrospektif olarak incelenerek istatistiksel analizleri yapıldı. Olguların 25’i (%33) erkek, 51’i (%67) kadındı. Yaş ortalaması 51.05 ± 15.543 idi. Darlıkların etiyolojiye göre dağılımı, Web-halka grubunda 41 (%54), Peptik striktür grubunda 26 (%34), Cerrahi,radyoterapi ve kostik madde kullanımına bağlı darlıklarda ise 9 (%12) idi. Gruplar arasında yaş açısından farklılık yoktu (p=0.550), cinsiyet açısından web-halka grubunda diğer gruplara göre kadın lehine anlamlı farklılık izlendi (p=0.0046 ve p=0.017). Darlıkların 62’sinde (%82) buji, 14’ünde (%18) balon dilatasyon yapılmıştı, ancak dilatasyon etkinliği açısından anlamlı bir fark bulunmadı (p=0.185). Bu çalışma benign özofagus darlıklarında buji ve balon dilatasyon işleminin güvenle ve seçilmiş vakalarda başarı ile sonuçlanabileceğini göstermektedir.tr_TR
dc.description.abstractBenign strictures of gastrointestinal system are endoscopically treatable pathologies. In this article, we aimed to present our data for dilatation of benign esophageal strictures in the Endocopy Unit of Department of Gastroenterology of Uludag University Medical Faculty. We analyzed retrospectively the demographic properties and the data of dilatation process of 76 patients who were admitted to our clinic, with dysphagia, nausea, vomiting symptoms and having benign esophageal strictures between January 2006 and September 2010. Of all patients, 25 (33%) were male and 51 (67%) were female. The mean age was 51.05 ± 15,543. The etiology of strictures were; web-ring group 41 (54%), peptic stricture group 26 (34%), surgery, radiotherapy and caustic substance-related group 9 (12%). There was no difference between the groups regarding age (p = 0,550). In web-ring group, there was a significant women predominance compared to other groups (p=0.004 and p=0.017). Strictures in 62 (82%) bougie dilatations and in 14 (18%) balloon dilation was made, but it was not significantly different in terms of the effectiveness of dilation (p=0.185).This study shows that the bougie and balloon dilation in benign esophageal strictures may be successful and safe in selected cases.en_US
