Abstract
Mevcut çalışma, Bursa’da perakende satışa sunulan çeşitli su ürünlerinde (balık, midye, karides) tehlikeli gıda patojenlerinden A. hydrophila’nın insidensini ortaya koymak amacıyla gerçekleştirildi. Etkenin örneklerden izolasyonu, Amerikan Gıda ve İlaç Dairesi (FDA) tarafından önerilen standart prosedürlerden yararlanılarak sağlandı. Örneklerden alınan Aeromonas izolatları API 20E bakteri tanımlama sistemi ile tür düzeyinde identifiye edildi. Çalışmanın sonuçları, analiz edilen 100 örnekten 14’ünün A. hydrophila ile kontamine olduğunu ve su ürünlerinin A. hydrophila’nın insanlara bulaşmasında potansiyel bir araç olabileceğini gösterdi.
The present study was carried out to determine the incidence of A. hydrophila, which is considered as a hazardous foodborne pathogen, in various seafood (fish, mussel, shrimp) sold at the retail level in Bursa. The isolation of the bacterium was performed using the standard procedures recommended by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Aeromonas isolates obtained from the samples were identified to species level by API 20E Bacterial Identification System. The results of this study showed that 14 out of 100 samples analysed was contaminated with A. hydrophila, and seafood could be a potential vehicle for transmission to humans of A. hydrophila
