Presokratik filozoflarda Arkhe sorununun kozmolojik ve ontolojik bağlamda incelenmesi

Abstract

Antik Yunan felsefesinin Sokrates’ten önceki düşünürlerinin başlıca ilgi alanı, her şeyin kendisinden meydana geldiği en temel yapıtaşı olan arkhenin ne olduğunu araştırmak olmuştur. Arkhe arayışı her filozofu farklı sonuçlara götürmekle birlikte, kimilerinde kozmolojik hatta kozmogonik, kimilerinde ise doğrudan ontolojik bir bağlama oturmaktadır. Yine de bu üç alanı, pek çoklarında iç içe geçmiş halde bulunduğundan dolayı, kesin sınırlarla ayırmak oldukça güçtür. Presokratik düşünürlerde ortaya çıkan arkhe anlayışlarının kendilerinden önceki mitolojik düşüncenin, bilimsel ve felsefi düşünceye doğru evrilmesinde büyük katkıları olmakla birlikte, yine de bu düşünürlerin hepsinde bir ontolojinin gerçekleştirilip gerçekleştirilemediği konusu tartışmalıdır. Monist doğa filozoflarından başlayarak plüralist düşünürleri de içine alan bu süreçte kozmolojiden ontolojiye geçişin izlerini sürmeye çalıştığımız bu çalışma, Presokratikler’in arkhe anlayışlarını serimlerken, bu görüşleri kozmolojik veya ontolojik bir bağlama yerleştirmeyi hedeflemektedir.

The main concern of the early Greek philosophers before Socrates, is to search for an arche, which is thought to be the basis of everything. This research, in additon to lead these philosophers to very different conclusions from each other, also finds its place in a cosmological or even in a cosmogonical context for some of them, yet for some others it is considered directly in an ontological context. Since most of the philosophers examine this point in an intricate manner, it is indeed hard to define the boundaries of these three fields. Although presocratics have a significant contribution to the evolution of the mythological thought to a scientific or a philosophical in relation to arche, it remains problematic whether it is considered as an ontological investigation in all of these presocratic thinkers or not. This study, which tries to follow the traces of a transition from a cosmology to an ontology starting from monist philosophers of nature up to the pluralists, while describing the presocratic concepts of arche, aims to separate them into a cosmological or an ontological context.
