Abstract
Bu tez çalışmasında Fen Bilimleri dersi “Enerji Dönüşümleri ve Çevre Bilimi” ünitesinin öğretiminde kullanılan Z kitap uygulamasının 8. Sınıf öğrencilerinin bu ünitedeki başarılarına, derse yönelik tutum ve motivasyonlarına etkisi incelenmiştir, elde edilen bulgular yorumlanmış ve diğer araştırmacılar için öneriler sunulmuştur. Araştırmanın amacı, uzaktan eğitim sürecinde kullanılan Z kitap uygulamalarının 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin enerji viii dönüşümleri ve çevre bilimi ünitesindeki Fen Bilimleri dersi akademik başarılarına, derse yönelik tutumlarına ve motivasyonlarına etkisini araştırmaktır. Araştırmada yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada 60 (32’si deney, 28’i kontrol) 8. Sınıf öğrencisi ile çalışılmıştır. Deney grubunda Z kitap uygulaması ile, kontrol grubunda ise fen bilimleri ders kitabı kullanılarak öğretim gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma verileri; Enerji Dönüşümleri ve Çevre Bilimi Başarı Testi (EDÇBBT), Fen Bilimleri Dersi Tutum Ölçeği (FBDTÖ), Fen Öğrenmeye Yönelik Motivasyon Ölçeği (FÖYMÖ), Teknoloji Tutum Ölçeği (TTÖ), Uzaktan Eğitim Tutum Ölçeği (UETÖ) ve Mobil Öğrenmeye Karşı Tutum Ölçeği (MÖKTÖ) ölçekleri ile toplanmıştır. Ölçekler ve başarı testi ön test son test olmak üzere deney ve kontrol gruplarına iki kez uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler normal dağılım göstermiştir ve bağımsız örneklem T testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin analizi sonucunda Z kitap uygulamasının öğrenci başarısını arttırdığı fakat fen dersine yönelik tutum ve motivasyonları etkilemediği görülmüştür.
In this thesis study, the effect of the Z book application used in the teaching of the Science course "Energy Transformations and Environmental Science" unit on the achievement of 8th grade students in this unit, their attitudes and motivations towards the course was examined, the findings were interpreted and suggestions for other researchers were presented. The aim of the research is to investigate the effects of e-book applications used in the distance education process on the energy conversions and academic achievement x of the 8th grade students in the science course in the environmental science unit, their attitudes and motivations towards the course. Semi-experimental design was used in the research. In the study, 60 (32 experimental, 28 control) 8th grade students were studied. Teaching was carried out with the Z book application in the experimental group and using the science textbook in the control group. Research data were collected with Energy Conversions and Environmental Science Achievement Test (ECESAT), Science Lesson Attitude Scale (SLAS), Motivation Scale for Learning Science (MSLS), Technology Attitude Scale (TAS), Distance Education Attitude Scale (DEAS) and Attitude Scale Towards Mobile Learning (ASTML) scales. The scales and achievement test were applied twice to the experimental and control groups, including the pretest and the posttest. The obtained data showed normal distribution and were analyzed by independent sample t test. As a result of the analysis of the data, it was seen that the Z book application increased student success, but did not affect the attitudes and motivations towards the science lesson.
