Abstract
Çıkış ağırlıklarına göre Japon bıldırcınları 3 guruba ayrılmıştır (1.grup 5.5-6.2 g; 2.grup 6.3-7.0 g ve 3.grup 7.1-7.8 g). Büyütme döneminde çıkış ağırlık gruplarının canlı ağırlık ve canlı ağırlık artış ortalamaları yem tüketimi ve yemden yararlanma oranları üzerine etkisi önemli bulunmuştur (P<0.01). Ölüm oranı üzerine civciv çıkış ağırlık gruplarının etkisi ise önemsizdir. Büyütme dönemi sonunda (5. hafta) her bir ağırlık gurubundaki dişi bıldırcınlar yumurtlama kafeslerine yerleştirilmişlerdir. Civciv çıkış ağırlığının cinsel olgunluk yaşı ve eşeysel olgunluk ağırlık ortalamaları üzerine etkisi önemli bulunmuştur (P<0.01). Deneme gruplarındaki cinsel olgunluk yaşı 1., 2. ve 3. grupta sırasıyla 43.6, 42.0, 41.6 gün olarak, cinsel olgunluk ağırlığı da aynı sıra ile sırasıyla 181.4±5.12, 194.7±5.68, 203.4±6.94 g olarak saptanmıştır. Deneme grupları arasında 8. haftadan başlayarak 24.haftaya kadar belirlenen yumurta verimleri ve yumurta ağırlık ortalamaları bakımından farklılıklar önemli bulunmuştur (P<0.01). İncelenen bütün haftalarda en yüksek yumurta verimi ve yumurta ağırlık ortalaması çıkış ağırlığı en yüksek olan gruptaki bıldırcınlarda elde edilmiştir.
Japanese Quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica) were seperated into 3 weight groups depending on chick hatch weight (1st group 5.5-6.2 g, 2nd group 6.3-7.0 g and 3rd group 7.1- 7.8 gr). The effects of hatching weight on mean live weight, weight gain, feed consumption and feed conversion ratios during the rearing period were found significant (P<0.01). The effect of hatch weight groups on mortality ratio was not significant. Female quails in each weight group were put into pens at the end of the rearing period (5th week). The effects of weight on the age of sexual maturity and sexual maturity weights of quails were found significant (P<0.01). Sexual maturity ages of the experimental groups were found as 43.6, 42.0 and 41.6 days in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd groups, respectively and sexual maturity weights of the quails were found as 181.4± 5.12, 194.7±5.68 and 203.4±6.94 g, respectively. The highest egg production and mean egg weights were obtained from the quails in the groups with the highest hatch weight, in all weeks.
