Abstract
İnsan kurban etmenin şartlarının ve sınırlarının neler olduğunu anlamak amacıyla ilk olarak, antik yazarların konuya bakış açılarının özellikle netleştirilmesi gerekmektedir. İnsan kurbanı teması hiçbir zaman Grek mitolojisinde ya da Grek kültüründe yaygın bir ritüel türü olmamıştır. İnsan kurbanı bir toplumun, tanrının, kralın vs. umutsuzluğu sebebiyle var olan olağanüstü bir çözüm yolu olmuştur. Bu makalede, mitolojinin vicdanı altındaki hangi dayanakların insan kurbanına izin verdikleri üzerine yoğunlaşılacaktır. Bu sebeple İphigenia, Hesione, Andromeda ve Polyksene hakkındaki mitoslar incelenecek ve karşılaştırılacaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, varılacak olan sonuçlar seçilmiş olan arkeolojik kanıtlarla desteklenecektir. Bu çalışmanın sonunda varılacak olan neticeyle; dişiliğin her zaman ataerkillik ile doğa ana arasında ortada kalmış olduğu savunulabilir. Dolayısıyla bunun Grek Mitolojisindeki insan kurbanının gizli ikonografisi olduğu kanaatindeyiz.
To be able to find out the circumstances and the limits of human sacrifice, first the perspectives of the ancient authors need to be clarified specifically. Human sacrifice theme’s never been a common ritual type in Greek mythology or Greek culture. Human sacrifice’s been an extraordinary way of a solution under the causes such as hopelessness of a society, god, king etc. In this article, we are going to focus on the grounds which permit human sacrifice under the conscience of mythology. Therefore the myths about Iphigenia, Hesione, Andromeda and Polyxene will be examined and compared. In accordance with this purpose, the future determined conclusions will be supported by the selected archaeological evidences. With the final conclusion of this study, one can argue that femininity was always caught in the middle between mother nature and patriarchy. Therefore, we believe that was the secret iconography of human sacrifice in Greek Mythology.
