Levinas ve Derrida’da dostluk

Abstract

Bu çalışmada çağdaş felsefenin iki önemli siması olan Fransız düşünürler Emmanuel Levinas ve Jacques Derrida’nın dostluk meselesine yaklaşımları ele alınmaya çalışılacaktır. Felsefe ile yakın bir bağı olan bir kavram olarak dostluk, İlk çağdan çağdaş felsefeye her dönem bazı problematikler çerçevesinde sürekli yinelenen bir tema olarak karşımıza çıkar. Özellikle çağdaş felsefede yaşam deneyiminin temel gönderenlerinden biri olarak dışımızdakileri, başkalarını hatırlatan ve bu anlamda ben-öteki problematiği çerçevesinde çokça tartışılan bir temadır. Dolayısıyla dostluk teması için bu iki ismin seçilmesi tesadüf değildir. Öznelerarasılığın ve ötekinin yeniden tartışılmaya başlandığı Kıta Avrupası Felsefesinde, ihmale uğramış dostluk meselesi de bu isimlerle birlikte tekrar felsefe sahnesine taşınmıştır. Bu anlamda iki isimden ilk olarak öteki filozofu olarak görülen ve felsefeye etikle başlangıç yapan Levinas’ın ötekiye öncelik verirken dostluk meselesindeki tavrı ve dostlukla ilgili yaklaşımlara yön verip vermediği tartışmaya açılacaktır. Diğer taraftan Dostluk Politikası başlıklı eseriyle öne çıkan Derrida’nın dostluk meselesini yine öteki üzerinden kimlik ve farklılık problemleriyle nasıl ilişkilendirdiği açıklanmaya çalışılacaktır.In this study, the approaches of French thinkers Emmanuel Levinas and Jacques Derrida, two important figures of contemporary philosophy, to the issue of friendship will be discussed. Friendship, as a concept that has a close connection with philosophy, appears as a recurring theme within the framework of some problematics in every period from the Ancient Age to Contemporary philosophy. Particularly in contemporary philosophy, it is a theme that reminds us of others as one of the basic senders of life experience and in this sense, it is a theme that is widely discussed within the framework of the problematic of self and other. Therefore, it is no coincidence that these two names were chosen for the theme of friendship. In Continental European Philosophy, where intersubjectivity and the other began to be discussed again, the neglected issue of friendship was brought back to the philosophical stage with these names. In this sense, the attitude of Levinas, who is seen as the first philosopher of the other and who started philosophy with ethics, on the issue of friendship while giving priority to the other, and whether he directs the approaches to friendship will be discussed. On the other hand, it will be tried to explain how Derrida, who stands out with his work titled The Politics of Friendship, relates the issue of friendship to the problems of identity and difference through the other.
