Tetanoz serumu ile intratekal tedaviden sonra görülen komplikasyonların nedeni

Abstract

Köpeklerde yapılan deneysel çalışma intratekal T.A .T. (tetanoz antitoksini ) uygulamasından sonra görülen konvülsiyon ve ölümlerin preparat içindeki fenolden ileri geldiğini, fenol konsantrasyonu artınca komplikasyonlarında şiddetinin arttığını gösterir. İçinde fenol olmayan T.A.T. ve T. I.G. 'nin (Tetanus Immune Globulin Human) intratekal enjeksiyonundan sonra kayda değer bir komplikasyon görülmedi.

This experimental study in dogs showed that convulsions and deaths after intrathecal administration of tetanus antitoxin have been due to the presence of fenol in the preparation . When the concentration of fenol was higher the severity o f the complications were increased. After the intrathecal injection of fenol free equine tetanus antitoxin or "Tetanus Immune Globulin Human" di dn 't produce any complications that have been noticed before,
