Abstract
Matematiksel ilişkilendirme becerisi, matematiksel beceri ve yeterlikleri arasında yer alan, günümüzde matematik öğretim programlarının hedefleri içinde bulunan ve geliştirilmesi vurgulanan önemli süreç becerilerinden birisi olarak görülmektedir. Öğrencilerin ilişkilendirme becerilerinde gelişim gerçekleşebilmesi için ise öncelikle öğretmenlerin ve öğretmen adaylarının ilişkilendirme becerisine sahip olmaya ve ne şekilde kullanabileceklerini bilmeye ihtiyaçları olduğu düşünülebilir. Matematiksel ilişkilendirme kavramına yönelik alan yazında yapılan çalışmalar incelendiğinde farklı disiplinler arası ilişki kurulmasında genel olarak sayısal alanlarla ilişki kurulduğu, edebiyat ile matematik ilişkisine ise nadir olarak rastlandığı söylenebilir. Bu doğrultuda araştırmada matematik öğretiminde aktif katılımda önemli rol oynayan etkinlikler ve kalıcı öğrenmeyi destekleyen zihin haritaları aracılığıyla matematik öğretmen adaylarının çocuk edebiyatı ve matematiği bütünleştirme süreçlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında çalışma grubu için Bursa ilinde bir devlet üniversitesinde lisans eğitimi gören ve “Matematik Öğretiminde İlişkilendirme” dersini alan 33 ilköğretim matematik öğretmen adayı tercih edilmiştir. 06.02.2023 tarihinde Kahramanmaraş ilinde gerçekleşen deprem sebebi ile çevrimiçi ortamda yürütülen bu araştırma sürecin detaylı incelenmesine imkân tanıması sebebi ile nitel araştırma yaklaşımlarından durum çalışması deseni ile yürütülmüştür. Aralıklı olarak devam eden 6 haftalık süreçte matematik öğretmen adaylarının çocuk edebiyatına yönelik tutumlarının, matematiksel ilişkilendirme öz yeterliklerinin, çocuk edebiyatı tutumu ile matematiksel ilişkilendirme öz yeterlikleri arasındaki ilişkinin ve sürece dair hazırlanan zihin haritalarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda matematik öğretmen adaylarına çocuk edebiyatına yönelik tutum ölçeği ve matematiksel ilişkilendirme öz yeterlik ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Ölçeklerden elde edilen veriler nicel analiz teknikleri ile SPSS28.0 paket programı aracılığıyla, zihin haritaları ise nitel analiz teknikleri ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda ölçeklerden elde edilen veriler ışığında çocuk edebiyatı ve matematik bütünleştirmesini amaçlayan 6 haftalık sürecin matematik öğretmen adaylarının çocuk edebiyatına yönelik tutumlarında ve matematiksel ilişkilendirme öz yeterliklerinde anlamlı düzeyde ve olumlu yönde değişime sebep olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarının çocuk edebiyatına yönelik tutumları ile matematiksel ilişkilendirme öz yeterlikleri arasında ise süreç başında mevcut olmayan ilişkinin süreç sonunda istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde ve olumlu yönde geliştiği fark edilmiştir. Matematik öğretmen adaylarından alınan zihin haritalamaya dair görüşler incelendiğinde ise öğretmen adaylarının zihin haritalama metoduna dair kalıcılığı arttırıcı, öğrenmeyi kolaylaştırıcı, yaratıcı düşünmeyi destekleyici, ilişkilerin tespit edilmesinde etkili bir araç olarak kullanılabileceği fikirlerine sahip olduğu fark edilmiştir.
Mathematical association skill, which is among the mathematical skills and competencies, is seen as one of the important process skills, which are among the goals of mathematics education programs and whose development is emphasized. In order for students to develop their association skills, it can be thought that first of all, teachers and teacher candidates need to have the ability to associate and know how they can use it. When the studies in the literature on the concept of mathematical association are examined, it can be said that the relationship between different disciplines is generally established with numerical fields, and the relationship between literature and mathematics is rarely encountered. In this direction, it was aimed to examine the integration processes of mathematics teacher candidates' children's literature and mathematics through activities that play an important role in active participation in mathematics teaching and mind maps that support permanent learning. Within the scope of the research, 33 primary school mathematics teacher candidates who received their undergraduate education at a state university in Bursa and took the course "Association in Mathematics Teaching" were preferred for the study group. Due to the earthquake that took place in Kahramanmaraş on 06.02.2023, this research, which was carried out in the online environment, was carried out with the case study pattern, which is one of the qualitative research approaches, since it allows the process to be examined in detail. It was aimed to examine the attitudes of pre-service mathematics teachers towards children's literature, their mathematical association self-efficacy, the relationship between children's literature attitude and mathematical association self-efficacy, and the mind maps prepared for the process in the intermittent 6-week period. In this direction, the attitude scale towards children's literature and the mathematical association self-efficacy scale were applied to prospective mathematics teachers. The data obtained from the scales were analyzed with quantitative analysis techniques and SPSS 28.0 package program, and mind maps were analyzed with qualitative analysis techniques. As a result of the research, it was determined that the 6-week process aiming at the integration of children's literature and mathematics in the light of the data obtained from the scales caused a significant and positive change in the attitudes of pre-service mathematics teachers towards children's literature and their mathematical association self-efficacy. It was noticed that the relationship between prospective teachers' attitudes towards children's literature and their mathematical association self-efficacy, which did not exist at the beginning of the process, developed statistically significantly and positively at the end of the process. When the opinions of the pre-service mathematics teachers about mind mapping were examined, it was noticed that the pre-service teachers had the ideas that the mind mapping method could be used as an effective tool to increase permanence, facilitate learning, support creative thinking, and identify relationships.
