Eğitim, felsefe ve P4C

Abstract

Eğitim, çeşitli disiplinleri ve yaklaşımları kapsayan çok yönlü bir alandır. Eğitimin önemli bir yönü, öğretme ve öğrenme uygulamalarını şekillendiren felsefi temelidir. Her alanda olduğu gibi eğitim alanında da teknolojik gelişmelere ayak uydurabilmek hem dünyada hem de ülkemizde büyük önem taşımaktadır. Yapılacak yeni çalışmalar, geliştirilecek yeni yöntem ve teknikler yeni fikirlerin oluşmasını da sağlayacaktır. Eğitim-öğretim sistemimizde karşılaşılan en büyük sıkıntılardan biri ezberci modeldir. Felsefe bu kıskaçtan kurtulmanın en önemli ayağını oluşturmaktadır. Çünkü düşünen, sorgulayan, eleştiren bireyler hem kalıcı öğrenir hem de özgün fikirler üretebilirler. Dolayısıyla felsefe hayatın içinde olan bir etkinliktir ve olaylara eğitim sonucu kazanılan bu felsefi tutumla bakılır. Bunun önemini kavrayan ülkeler çocukları merkeze alan eğitim-öğretim sistemleri geliştirmeye başlamıştır. Bundan dolayı son yıllarda P4C, eleştirel düşünmeye ve sorgulamaya dayalı öğrenmeyi destekleyen etkili bir eğitim yaklaşımı olarak kabul görmüştür. Ülkemizde de bu yönde bir eğilim vardır. Bu makalede eğitim ve felsefe çerçevesindeP4C uygulamaları ele alınarak, onun eğitim üzerindeki etkileri değerlendirilecektir.Education is a multifaceted field encompassing various disciplines and approaches. Animportant aspect of education is its philosophical foundation that shapes teaching and learningpractices. As in every field, keeping up with technological developments in the field of education isof great importance both in the world and in our country. New studies to be done, new methodsand techniques to be developed will also provide new ideas. One of the biggest problemsencountered in our education system is the rote learning model. Philosophy is the most importantpillar to get rid of this pincer. Because individuals who think, question and criticize can both learnpermanently and produce original ideas. Therefore, philosophy is an activity in life and events areviewed with this philosophical attitude gained through education. Understanding the importance of this, countries have started to develop education and training systems that put children at the center. Therefore, in recent years, P4C has been recognized as an effective educational approach that supports critical thinking and inquiry-based learning. There is also a trend in this direction in our country. In this article, P4C applications will be discussed within the framework of education and philosophy and its effects on education will be evaluated.
