Özet
18. yüzyıl şairlerinden İhyil (Seyyiq Yahya) Efendi'nin Divanı yüksek lisans tezi olarak tarafımızdan ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışmamız esnasında tarihi şiirlerinden bir tanesi dikkatimizi çekti. "Kapadan- ı Deryil Hüseyin Paşa Hazretlerine Çeşme Tarihidir" başlığını taşıyan şiirinde bilhassa ikinci beyit anlamlıdır: Gemilik sahilini eyledi nev-tersane Nola fahr olsa bu hidmet o kerem piraye. Bu beyitte ikinci ünlü harf olan "i" nin düşmesiyle "GEMLİK olmuştur.
We have studied the collection of poems of İhya (Seyyid Yahya) Efendi, who is an eighteenth century poet, as a post graduate thesis. During our study, one of his histoncal poems drew our atten tion. In his poem with the heading "The Date of The Fountain to his Excellency Kapadan-ı Derya Hüseyin Paşa" the second distich is particulary significant: Gemilik sahilini eyledi nev-tersane Nola fahr olsa bu hidmet o kerem piraye. In this distich it has been turned in to "Gemlik", the second vowel "i" having been left out.
