Genç Cumhuriyetin ütopyası: “Gürbüz Türk Çocuğu”

Abstract

Gürbüz Türk Çocuğu Dergisi, Himaye-i Etfal Cemiyeti’nin çıkardığı bir dergidir. 1926-1935 yılları arasında yayınlanmıştır. Dergi 1931’e kadar hem çocuğa hem de anne, baba, öğretmen ve çocuğun yetiştrilmesiyle ilgilenen herkese seslenir. 1931’den sonra ise hedef kitle yavaş yavaş yetişkinler olur. Dergi bir taraftan hükümetin çocuk politikasına yön verir, diğer taraftan da devletin çocuğa verdiği büyük önem ve değeri yansıtır. Derginin geniş bir yazar kadrosu vardır. Bu kadro içinde Türk edebiyatının tanınmış isimleri de yer alır. Yazarlar çocuk sorununa gelecek açısından bakarlar. Toplumdaki kimsesiz çocukları koruyan Himaye-i Etfal Cemiyeti’ne yardım çağrısında bulunurlar. Amaç sadece biyolojik açıdan sağlıklı çocuklar yetiştirmek değildir. Cumhuriyeti yaşatacak bireyler yetiştirmeyi hedeflerler.

Gürbüz Türk Çocuğu is a monthly journal that has been published by the “Himaye-i Etfal Cemiyeti” between 1926 and 1935. From the first day it has been started to 1931, it has addressed to the children and to the parents, teachers and anybody who concerns with the education of children. Beginning from 1931 the journal has targeted the adults only. The journal has aimed to guide the children policy of the government and has also reflected the importance and the value of children. The wide writer staff including the famous names of the Turkish Literature, have concerned the children as future’s builders and have asked the public to help and donate to Himaye-i Etfal Cemiyeti. Their main objective has not only been to grow biologicially healty but also well educated children to protect and maintain the young republic.
