Uygar dünyada aterosklerozis, komplikasyonları olan iskemik kalp hastalıkları ve serebrovasküler hastalıklar ile en önemli ölüm nedenlerinden birisidir. Bu derlemede aterosklerozun oluşumunda lipoproteinlerin oynadığı rol ele alınmıştır.
Atherosclerotic complications, ischemic heart disease and cerebro-uascular diseases are the major causes of death in the civilized world. In this study, the role played by the lipoproteins in the formation of atherosclerosis has been reviewed.
