Pandemi döneminde ilk, orta ve lise öğretiminde yaşanan sorunların öğretmen görüşlerine göre incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, pandemi döneminde yaşanan sorunların tespit edilmesi ve gelecekte olası bir pandemi dönemiyle karşılaşıldığında, yeniden bu kararın alınması durumunda eğitim-öğretim faaliyetlerinin daha iyi yürütülmesine ışık tutmaktır. Bu teze konu olan pandemi dönemindeki ilk, orta ve lise öğretiminde yaşanan sorunlar, bu kademelerde görev yapan farklı branşlardaki öğretmenlerin görüşlerine göre incelenmiştir. Bu araştırmanın çalışma grubu Kovid-19 pandemisi esnasında çevrimiçi eğitim vermiş 37 öğretmenlerden oluşmaktadır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu soruları katılımcılara yüz yüze yöneltilmiştir. Araştırma karma araştırma türünde olup hem nitel hem nicel verilerden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada, gelecekte meydana gelecek olası bir yeni pandemi dönemiyle karşılaşıldığında, yeniden uzaktan eğitim kararı alınması durumunda, eğitim- öğretim faaliyetlerinin daha verimli ve etkili bir şekilde yürütülmesine yardımcı olacak öneriler de bulunularak eğitim bilimlerine literatürüne katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmüştür. Araştırmanın bulgularında Kovid-19 pandemisi esnasında yürütülen uzaktan eğitimin etkili olmadığı, öğrencilerin temel becerilerinin geliştirilmesi bakımından yetersiz kalması sebepleri ile olumsuz bir dönem olarak nitelendirildiği ortaya çıkmıştır.

The purpose of this research is to identify the problems experienced during the pandemic period and to shed light on how to better conduct education and training activities in case of a possible pandemic period in the future and if this decision is made again. The problems experienced in primary, secondary and high school education during the pandemic period, which is the subject of this thesis, were examined according to the opinions of teachers in different branches working at these levels. The study group of this research consists of 37 teachers who provided online education during the Covid-19 pandemic. Semi-structured interview form questions were directed to the participants face-to-face. The research is a mixed research type and consists of both qualitative and quantitative data. In the research, it is thought that it will contribute to the literature of educational sciences by making suggestions that will help conduct education and training activities more efficiently and effectively in case of a possible new pandemic period in the future and if a decision is made for distance education again. The findings of the research revealed that distance education carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic was not effective and was described as a negative period due to its inadequacy in terms of developing students' basic skills.
