This study examines the mediating role of psychological resilience in the relationship between the need for social approval and perceived stress. A relational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the study. Participants were selected trough a convenience sampling method. The study group consisted of 448 undergraduate students (82.4% female, 17.6% male) enrolled at the Faculty of Education at Bursa Uludag University. Data were collected using the Need for Social Approval Scale, the Resilience Scale and the Perceived Stress Scale. The collected data were analyzed using mediation analysis, and the SPSS Process Macro was used for the analyses. The results showed that the need for social approval positively predicted perceived stress, while psychological resilience negatively predicted perceived stress. Additionally, psychological resilience was found to have a partial mediating role in the relationship between the need for social approval and perceived stress. The findings of the study have been evaluated within the framework of the relevant literature, and recommendations have been provided for future researchers and practitioners.
