Okul yöneticilerinin sosyal adalet liderliğinin öğretmenlerin eksiklik düşüncesindeki rolü

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın nihai amacı Türkiye’deki eğitimin sosyal adalet temeline dayanması için yürütülen çabalara katkı sağlamaktır. Bu genel çerçevede öğretmenlerin eksiklik düşüncesine ilişkin algılarını ölçen bir ölçek geliştirerek, Türkiye’deki öğretmenlerin eksiklik düşüncesinde okul müdürlerinin sosyal adalet liderliği davranışlarının rolünü belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma nicel araştırma yöntemi içinde ilişkisel model ile desenlenmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini Bursa ili sınırları içerisinde yer alan Mudanya, Nilüfer, Osmangazi ve Yıldırım ilçelerine bağlı lise düzeyindeki resmi okulların öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın analizleri 616 öğretmenden toplanan veri üzerinden yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri analiz edilirken, t-testi, ANOVA ve çoklu regresyondan yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmada öğretmenlerin eksiklik düşüncesine ilişkin algıları orta düzeyde, okul müdürlerinin sosyal adalet liderliği davranışlarına yönelik algıları yüksek düzeyde bulunmuştur. Öğretmenlerin eksiklik düşüncesinde okul müdürlerinin sosyal adalet liderliği davranışlarının rolü ise düşük düzeyde bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak her öğrenciye sosyal olarak adil olanın sunulması için öğrencilerin bir engelle karşılaşmadan eğitime erişmesi, öğrencilere dezavantaj yaratan koşulların giderilmesi, öğrencilerin ait olduğu grubun kültürünün kabul görmesi ve eğitimin her öğrenci için nitelikli hale gelmesi çok önemlidir.

The ultimate aim of this research is to contribute to the efforts for grounding education in Turkey on the basis of social justice. Within this general framework, the study aims to develop a scale measuring teachers' perceptions of the deficit thinking and to determine the role of school principals' social justice leadership behaviors in teachers' deficit thinking in Turkey. The research is designed using a relational model within the quantitative research method. The population of the study consists of teachers from public high schools located in the districts of Mudanya, Nilüfer, Osmangazi, and Yıldırım within the boundaries of Bursa province. The analyses of the research were conducted based on data collected from 616 teachers. While analyzing the data, t-tests, ANOVA, and multiple regression were used. The study found that teachers' perceptions of deficit thinking are at a moderate level, while their perceptions of school principals' social justice leadership behaviors are at a high level. The role of school principals' social justice leadership behaviors in teachers' deficit thinking was found to be at a low level. In conclusion, it is very important to ensure that every student can access education without encountering barriers, to eliminate conditions that create disadvantages for students, to accept the culture of the group to which the student belongs, and to make education of high quality for every student in order to offer what is socially just for each student.
