Kesme çiçeklerde vazo ömrünün uzatılması

Abstract

Kesme çiçeklerde vazo ömrünü uzatmak için bir takını fiziksel ve kimyasal uygulamalar yapılmaktadır. Bu amaçla, kullanılan kimyasal maddeler tek veya kombinasyonlar halinde uygulanmakta olup, bunlar çiçek koruyucular olarak adlandırılmaktadır. İyi bir çiçek koruyucu solüsyonu şeker (sukroz ve ya glikoz), germisit (bakterisid-fungusid), asitliği artırıcı bir madde ve ağır metallerden birisini içermelidir. Bu koruyucu solüsyonlar içerisinde kullanılan kimyasal maddeler farklı çiçeklerde, farklı etkilerde bulunabilmektedirler, dolayısıyla bütün kesme çiçeklerin vazo ömürlerini uzatabilmek için tek bir vazo solüsyonu önermek mümkün değildir.Some physical and chemical treatments are applied to cut flowers in order to prolong the vase life. The chemical substances used for this purpose are applied singly or in combination with each other and these are called 'floral preservatives'. A good flower preservative solution should contain sugar (sucrose or glucose) germicide (bactericide-funıgucide ), an acidifying substance and one of the heavy metals. The chemical substances used in these preservative solutions can have different effects on different flowers, thus it is not possible to recommend only one vase solution to prolong the vase life of all cut flowers.
