Mehmet Akif Ersoy’un ilme ve maarife bakışı

Abstract

Mehmet Akif Ersoy’un özellikle cemiyet hayatını anlattığı şiir ve yazılarında kullandığı kavramlar birbirlerinin sebep ve sonucunu oluşturan bir yapıya sahiptir. Bu kavramların hepsini birlikte ele alması, insanın özellikle cemiyet hayatındaki rolünün kompleks bir yapıya sahip olduğunu gösterir. Hayattaki en büyük hakikatlerden biri olarak gördüğü ilim ve bunun bir anlamda toplum hayatındaki uygulaması olarak mütalaa ettiği maarif de Mehmet Akif’in gerek yazılarında gerekse mısralarında diğer birçok kavramı içine alan bir özelliğe sahiptir. Çatı kavramlar diyebileceğimiz ilim ve maarif, ortaya koydukları etkilerle insan ve toplum hayatında diğer unsurlardan daha çok yer etmiştir. “Mâhiyyet-i rûhiyye” dediği karakteristik yapı ve insan fıtratı, ilmin ve maarifin kuşatıcılığı altında Mehmet Akif’in dilinde başat rol oynar. Bu minvalde bu yazıda Mehmet Akif’in insan ve toplum hayatında vazgeçilmez bir unsur olan ilim ve maarifi, ortaya koyduğu etkiler çerçevesinde ne kadar geniş anlamda ele aldığı en genel hatlarıyla anlatılacaktır.The notions that Mehmet Akif Ersoy uses in his poems and writings, especially in which he describe ssocial life, have a structure that creates the cause and effect of each other. The fact that all of thesenotions are handled to gether shows that the role of humans in social life has a complex structure. Science, which he sees as one of the only true guides in life, and education, which he considers asits application in social life in a sense, has a feature that includes many other concepts both in Mehmet Akif's writings and in his verses. These concepts, which we can call “umbrella concept”,have had a greater impact on human and social life than other elements that keep a society alive,and even become the cornerstone of a nation. The characteristic structure that the nation has livedthrough from the past and which Akif calls “mâhiyyet-i rûhiyye” will only sustain itself with knowledge. This article explains the way Mehmet Akif dealt with science and education, which is, inhis writings, an indispensable element in human and social life, and how broadly he handled it within the framework of the effects it revealed.
