dc.description.abstractKoleksiyon geliştirme, bir kütüphane kaynağının seçimi, seçim politikasının belirlenmesi, potansiyel kullanıcı ihtiyaçlarının ve mevcut koleksiyonun sistematik olarak değerlendirilmesi, bütçe analizi, kaynak paylaşımı gibi geniş bir süreci ifade eden bir terimdir. Bu çalışma, Karl Bridges tarafından hazırlanan “Customer-Based Collection Development: An Overview” başlıklı, e-kitaplar için Amerika’daki farklı akademik kütüphanelerdeki Kullanıcı Odaklı Sağlama/koleksiyon geliştirme (Patron-Driven Acquisition - PDA) uygulamalarını açıklayan kitabın incelemesini içermektedir.
dc.description.abstractCollection development is a term that refers to a broad process such as the selection of a library resource, the establishment of selection policy, the systematic evaluation of potential user needs and the current collection, budget analysis and resource sharing. This study includes a review of the book "Customer-Based Collection Development: An Overview" by Karl Bridges, which describes the Patron-Driven Acquisition (PDA) applications for e-books in different academic libraries in America.
