This study involved 203 nurses who were working at a university hospital. The data were collected using "Nurse Information Form" (which was prepared by the authors of this research), "Thorson-Powell Death Anxiety Scale," and "Attitude Scale about Euthanasia, Death, and Dying Patient." There was a positive correlation between death anxiety and dying patient avoidance behavior and euthanasia score (p < .05). The findings showed that nurses, death anxiety, and death scores were high in the loss of a close relatives (p < .05). Our findings suggest that the situation of the dying patients and their families and also nurses should be improved. Thus, special psychological education/training should be given to the nurses to deal with death anxiety and their attitude to the dying patient.Publication Sufficiency of youtube videos as a source of information in kidney transplantation(Turk Nefroloji Diyaliz Transplantasyon Dergisi, 2018-01-01) ; PEHLİVAN, SEDA; ORUÇ, AYŞEGÜL; VATANSEVER, NURSEL; Vatansever, Nursel; Oruç, Ayşegül; YILDIZ, ABDULMECİT; Yıldız, Abdülmecit; Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi/Tıp Fakültesi/Nefroloji Anabilim Dalı.; Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi/Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi/Hemşirelik Anabilim Dalı.; 0000-0002-1670-0672; 0000-0002-0342-9692; AAI-9108-2021; ABG-1164-2020; B-5037-2017; AAH-4002-2021OBJECTIVE: It was evaluated the sufficiency of YouTube videos related with kidney transplantation as a source of information in this study.MATERIAL and METHODS: A search was made on YouTube web site on 01.09.2015 with the "kidney transplantation" keyword. Videos were evaluated by two nephrology specialists experienced in kidney transplantation. Scores (between 0 and 10) for "reliability", "quality", "usefulness" were given to each video content during expert evaluation. Chi-square, Mann-Whitney U, and Kruskal-Wallis analyses were carried out for the evaluation of the acquired data using SPSS 20.0.RESULTS: It was determined that 10% of the videos included in the study contained misleading information. It was determined that the videos which have received the highest number of views were on herbal products, surgical intervention and religious knowledge videos respectively (p<0.05). When the distribution of evaluated score averages with regard to the source uploading the video was considered, statistically significant differences were determined in all areas (p<0.05).CONCLUSION: Even though there is information on YouTube related with kidney transplantation, there are also videos that include misleading and unprofessional information. It is thought that healthcare professionals have significant responsibilities for ensuring that videos with reliable content are available in social media.Publication Determination of factors affecting early mobilization of patients who have undergone knee and hip arthroplasty(Elsevier, 2022-09-28) Bulut, Akif; Vatansever, Nursel Aydın; Bulut, Akif; VATANSEVER, NURSEL; Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi/Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü; Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi/Sağlık Bilimleri ve Cerrahi Hemşireliği Bölümü; 0000-0003-1793-6238; AAI-9108-2021; ENN-9927-2022Purpose: This study was conducted in order to determine the factors that affected the early mobilization after surgery of patients who had undergone knee and hip arthroplasty.Design: This study is descriptive correlational. Methods: The study population consists patients who met the inclusion criteria and were hospitalized in a State Hospital Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic in Turkey in order have the knee or hip arthroplasty sur-gery between the dates of November 7, 2017 and September 21, 2018.
