Item The effect of trust among employees on dysfunctional behavior and the mediating role of management’s positive behavior: A theory of values analysis(Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi, 2022-04-05) Durmuş, İbrahimIn the activities of the employees in an organization, trust, positive behavior, and dysfunctional behavior can be investigated as a whole, in addition to the universal principles of the theory of values. In previous studies, the concepts of trust among colleagues (TYC), dysfunctional behavior (EDB), and positive behavior of management towards employees (PBM) in organizations were examined separately in different areas. Unlike in previous studies, these concepts were, in this study, applied together to employees in different organizations. In this research, employees’ trust in one another positively and significantly affected their dysfunctional behavior. Employees’ trust in one another also positively and significantly affected their management’s positive behavior towards employees. The positive behavior of the management towards their employees in turn affected the dysfunctional behavior of the employees in a positive and meaningful way. In the study, the positive behavior of the management towards their employees had a full mediator effect on the impact of employees’ trust one another on employees' dysfunctional behaviors.Item How can the post-COVID-19 economy of Turkey help to improve gender equality?(Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi, 2022-01-28) Yenilmez, Meltem İnceGender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but it is also necessary for a peaceful society, the attainment of full human potential, and long-term progress. It can also play a significant role in the growth of any modern economy. Therefore, it is critical to realize that men and women may both contribute to societal growth. A holistic approach, sound policies, and long-term commitment by all levels of government are essential for women's empowerment to become a reality. In addition, gender equality must be a priority in developing national policies and initiatives. Despite improvements in Turkish women’s social, political, and economic lives, women's empowerment has yet to be attained. This research explores the position of women in school and the labor market in Turkey before and after the emergence of COVID-19. The research highlights the problems and opportunities that women regarding participating in the Turkish economy.
