Abstract
Bu çalışmada TÖMER'de yabancılara dil öğretiminde kullanılan ilk kur Türkçe ve İngilizce ders kitaplarındaki geçmiş zaman öğretiminin genel öğretim ilkeleri kıstas alınarak değerlendirilmesi ve karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır.Bu amaçla TÖMER'in Bursa şubesinde yabancılara dil öğretiminde kullanılan kitaplar temin edilmiş ve kitaplardaki geçmiş zaman öğretimine yönelik kısımlar ve etkinlikler saptanmıştır. Ardından çalışmada kıstas olarak kullanılacak genel öğretim ilkeleri belirlenmiştir. İncelenen kitaplardaki ilgili kısımlar ve etkinlikler, önce Türkçe ders kitabı daha sonra İngilizce ders kitabı olmak üzere müstakil iki başlık altında belirlenen kıstaslar ışığında değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan bu iki ayrı değerlendirmenin ardından iki kitaptaki geçmiş zaman öğretimi genel öğretim ilkeleri kıstas alınarak karşılaştırmalı olarak ele alınmıştır.Yapılan değerlendirme sonucunda ele alınan Türkçe kitabında geçmiş zaman öğretimi başlığı altına birleşik zaman konularının da dâhil edildiği görülmektedir. İngilizce kitabına baktığımızda ise geçmiş zaman öğretimi başlığı altına sadece past simple tense konunsun dâhil edildiği görülmektedir. İncelenen kitapların ilk kur kitapları olduğu göz önüne alındığında İngilizce kitabında yapılan bu tercihin öğretimi kolaylaştırıcı, oldukça yerinde bir tercih olduğu görülmektedir. Bunun yanı sıra değerlendirmede kullandığımız genel öğretim ilkeleri kıstas alınarak yapılan değerlendirme sonucunda Türkçe kitabında, daha kapsamlı bir konu yelpazesine karşın genel öğretim ilkelerinin kullanılma sıklığının İngilizce kitabına göre daha az olduğu saptanmıştır.Yabancılara Türkçe eğitimi sürecinde ele alınan konular kitapların ve öğrenenin seviyesine göre sınırlandırılmalı, kitaplarda tercih edilen kelimeler günlük hayatta kullanılan, yaşayan kelimeler olmalı ve gerek etkinlikler gerekse ele alınan konuların açıklandığı bölümler genel öğretim ilkelerine daha fazla sadık kalınarak hazırlanmalıdır.
This study aims to evaluate and compare teaching simple past tense in Turkish and English book which are used for foreigners teaching language in TÖMER.For this purpose, the books which are used for teaching language to foreigners in Bursa department of TÖMER were ensured and the parts and activies about teaching simple past tense was determined. Afterwards, general education principles in the study which will be used as a criterion was determined. The relevant sections and activities in the researched books was evaluated under the name of two headings, first Turkish course book, then English course book. After these two seperate evaluations, on the basisof general teaching principles of teaching simple past tense was taken in had as a comparative.İn the conclusion of this evaluation, it is shown that complex tense topics was included to the Turkish book under the name of teaching past simple tense. When we look into the English book it is shown that only simple past tense was included under the name of teaching simple past tense. When it is taken into consideration, it is seen that this choice makes education facilitative and fairly right choice. As well as in the result of this evaluation which we used, on the behalf of general education principles, in the Turkish book it is determined that despite of comprehensive types of subject, frequency of using general teaching principles are less than English books.In the process of teaching Turkish to foreigners, analysed subjects should be limited according to books and learners level, the words which are preferred in the books should used ones, living and not only activities but also the parts in which the analysed subjects were explained should be prepared as more faitufully to general education principles.
