dc.description.abstractSanayi Devriminin Osmanlılar üzerindeki en önemli doğrudan etkilerinden bir tanesi Osmanlı ülkesinin sanayi ülkelerine hammadde ihraç eden ve bu ülkelere mamul madde ithal eden bir ülke haline gelmesidir. Özellikle 1838 Balta Limanı Antlaşması’nın Avrupalı tüccarlara sağladığı kolaylıklar Sanayi Devriminin getirdiği maliyet avantajı ile birleşince Osmanlı İmparatorluğu Batı malları için önemli bir Pazar olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. XIX. yüzyıl Bursası da bu genel trendden etkilenmiş ve Bursalıların tüketim kalıpları bir yüzyıl öncesine göre değişikliğe uğramıştır. Bu makale İngiliz Konsolosluk Raporları’na yansıyan bu değişimi incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır.tr_TR
dc.description.abstractOne of the most important direct effects of “Industrial Revolution” is the transformation of the Otoman Empire into an entity exporting raw materials to industrialized countries and importing manufactures from those countries. Especially when the facilities provided by 1838 Balta Limanı Trade Agreement amalgamated with the cost advantage brought by Industrial Revolution, the Ottoman Empire emerged as a formidable market for western manufactures. XIX.Century Bursa too affected by this trend and consumption patterns of the people of Bursa had changed. This article aims to examine this change as it is reflected by British Consular Reports.en_US
