Abstract
Bu makale, Tillich’e göre değer-ontoloji ilişkisini tartışır. Tillich düşüncesinde sevgi, güç ve adâlet, ilâhi temelde bir bütündür ve insan varoluşunda da bütün olması gerekir. Mesela hem evrensel yasanın hem de belirli durumun talebi dikkate alınmazsa ve somut durumda etkin kılınmazsa adâletin gerçekleşmesinden söz edilemez. Ancak somut duruma katılımı sağlayan sevgidir. Kısacası somut durumda ya da insan varoluşunda bunlar bir bütündür dolayısıyla, somut durum kesinlikle teoriyi aşar. Yine kötülük problemini de bu bağlamda düşünebiliriz. Tanrı’nın bizzat-varlık (being-itself) olduğu söylendiği zaman, sevgi, güç ve adâletin Tanrı’yla ilişkisine dair temel bir iddiada bulunulmuş demektir. Bizzat-varlık hakkında söylenen her şey sembolik olmalıdır. Yine sevgi, güç ve adaletin de nihaî ve dolayısıyla sembolik bir anlam içinde Tanrı’ya uygulanması gerekir.
This paper discusses the relationship between value and ontology according toTillich. Love, power and justice are one in the divine ground, and shall become one in human existence in Tillich. For example justice can be realized only if both the demand of the universal law and the demand of the particular situation are accepted and made effective for the concrete situation. But it is love which creates participation in the concrete situation. Briefly these are united in concrete situation or human existence so concrete situation trancends theory. So the problem of evil is considered this contex. The basic assertion about the relation of god to love, power and justice is made, if one says that God is being-itself. Everyting we say about being-itself must be sembolic. So love, power and justice is applied to God equally in the ultimate and therefore sembolic sense.

(London: Oxford University Press, 1954). Nitekim müstakil bir anlam bütünlüğüne sahip olmasından dolayı F. Church’ün editörlüğündeki The Essential Tillich –An Anthology of The Writtings of PAUL TILLICH– adlı kitabın 146-157. sayfaları arasında da yer alır. ( New York, 1987).
