Abstract
This paper describes a CAD system used for workholder design. The interactive system can be used to generate the best location system for a workholder and also assist with the positioning of supports and clamps in order to minimise the influence of the machining forces.
Description
This research was performed as part of doctoral thesis submitted to the University of Bradford in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the award of the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
