Abstract
Bu araştırma, çeşitli dozlardaki (2000, 2500, 3000 ppm) Ethephon uygulamalarının Gemlik zeytin çeşidinde meyve kopma kuvvetine etkilerini araştırmak amacıyla 1986, 1987 yıllarında yapılmış ve aşağıdaki sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Tane kopma kuvveti her iki yılda ve tüm uygulamalarda zamanla önemli ölçüde azalmıştır. Ethephon 'un her üç dozu 1986 yılında tane kopma kuvvetini kontrole göre düşürmüş, ancak bu azalış önemli olmamıştır. Son örnek alma zamanındaki meyve kopma kuvvetleri kontrolde 255 g, ethephon uygulamalarında ise 190-200 g arasında kalmıştır. 1987 yılı uygulamaları, 1986'ya göre daha az etkili olmuş, tane kopma kuvvetleri son örnek alma zamanında kontrolde 150 g, 2500 ve 3000 ppm 'lik dozlarda sırasıyla 132 g ve 126 g bulunmuştur. Her iki yılda tane kopma kuvvetlerindeki bu azalmalar mekanik bir hasat için yeterli görülmemiştir. Ayrıca, meyve kopma kuvvetlerindeki standart sapmanın yüksekliği, bu çeşitte meyve kopma kuvvetinin mütecanis olarak azalmadığını göstermektedir. Ethephon 'un beklenilen düzeyde etkili olmaması, uygulamalardan sonraki günlük ortalama sıcaklıklarının 15° C 'nin altında bulunmasına ve ethephon çözeltilerine karıştırılan Ca 'lu bileşiklere bağlanabilir. Ethephon her iki yılda da doğal meyve ve yaprak dökümlerini etkilememiştir
This inuestigation was conducted to de termine the effects of uarious concentrations Of Ethephon (2000, 2500, 3000 ppm) on Fruit Removal Force (FRF) of Gemlik Olive Cultiuar's Fruits, in 1986 and 1987, and the following results have been obtained. Fruit remoual forces were decreased significantly by the time in all the treatments in the two years. All concentrations of ethephon much more decreased the fruit removal force than control, but this reduction was not significant. The fruit remoual forces were 255 g in Control and 190-200 g in ethephon treatments in the last sampling date. Ethephon treatments were much less effective in 1987 thenin 1986, and the Fruit remoual forces were 150 g in control, 132 g and 126 g in 2500 and 3000 ppm respectively in the last sampling date. These reductions in the fruit remoual forces were not low enough for mechanical haruesting in the two years. In addition high standart errors of the fruit remoual forces indicated that the fruit remoual force was not decreased uniformly in this cultivar. The effects of ethophon were not significant as expected, this might be due to the daily average temparatures under 15° C after the period of applications and 0.05 M of Ca compounds that were added to ethephon solutions. Ethephond id not effect the natural fall of leaves and fruits in the two years.
