Abstract
Bireylerin bir mekandan başka bir mekana göç etmesi ekonomik ve sosyokültürel bir çok sebebe dayanmaktadır. Söz konusu sebepler bağlamında, bölgeler arasındaki gelişmişlik farklılıkların da göçü etkilemesi beklenir. Bu kapsamda bu çalışmada, bölgeler arasındaki farklılıkları analiz etme imkanı sunan mekânsal analiz teknikleri kullanılarak, Türkiye’de iller bazında net göç hızı farklılıklarının incelemesi ve net göç hızını etkileyen değişkenlerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, net göç hızının mekansal örüntüsü incelenmiş, göçle ilişkili değişkenler ele alınarak, bu değişkenlerin net göç hızı üzerindeki etkileri ortaya konmuştur. Analiz sonuçları, net göç hızı düşük olan ve net göç hızı yüksek olan illerin kümelenme eğiliminde olduğunu göstermektedir. Bununla birlikte, nüfus yoğunluğu net göç hızı üzerinde negatif etkiye sahipken; gayri safi yurtiçi hasıla ve nüfus artış hızı net göç hızı üzerinde olumlu etkiye sahiptir. Ayrıca çalışmada dikkat çeken bir diğer bulgu net göç hızının, söz konusu değişkenlerin yanı sıra komşu illerin net göç hızından da etkilenmesidir. Dolaysıyla çalışmanın bulguları, Türkiye’de illerin net göç hızları arasında mekânsal bağımlılık olduğunu göstermektedir. Nitekim çalışmanın en önemli sonuçlarından biri net göç hızını etkileyen faktörlerin incelenmesinde coğrafyanın göz önünde bulundurulması gereken önemli bir faktör olduğudur.
The migration of individuals from one place to another is based on numerous economic and socio-cultural reasons. In the context of these reasons, development differences between regions are also expected to affect migration. In this context, this study aims to investigate the net migration rates differences in Turkey on a provincial basis and to determine the factors affecting the net migration rates. For this purpose, the spatial pattern of the net migration rate was examined, and by reviewing the variables that are expected to be related to migration, the impacts of these variables on the net migration rate have been revealed. Thus, it was seen that as the population growth rate and the gross domestic product increase, the net migration rate increases; and as the population density increases, the net migration rate decreases, that is, the province becomes a province of emigration. Finding of the study shows that the net migration rate is influenced not only by the characteristics of a site but also by the net migration rates and characteristics of neighboring settlements. In fact, geography is an important factor that should be taken into consideration in the examination of the factors affecting the net migration rate.
