Abstract
1977-1994 yılları arasında santral sinir sistemi tümörü nedeniyle opere edilen 1200 olgudan metastaz tanısı konulan 59 olgu (% 4.9), retrospektif olarak incelenmiştir. Primer odak olarak olguların 36'sında (% 61) akciğer, 2'sinde (% 3.3) meme, 1'inde(% 1.7) karaciğer, 1'inde (% 1.7) rektum, 1'inde(% 1.7) prostat, 3'ünde (% 5) etmoid sinüsler saptanmıştır. 15 olguda ise (% 25.4) primer odak tesbit edilememiştir. Ortalama yaşam süresi 8 ay olarak saptanmıştır. Bulgular literatürle karşılaştırılmıştır.
Between April 1977 and April 1994 twelve hundred patients with intracranial neoplasm were diagnosed and undergone operationsin our department and 59 cases (4.9 %) were histopathologically confirmed as secondary tumours and analysed retrospectively. Of these cases primary site was found to be lung in 36 cases (61 %), breast in 2 cases (3.3 %), liver in 1 case (1.7 %), rectum in 1 case (1.7 %), prostate in 1 case (1.7 %) ethmoid sinuses in 3 cases (5 %) and in 15 cases (25. 4 %) primary source were undetermined Mean survival was recognized as 8 months. The results are comparable with literature.
