| dc.description.abstract | Myndos, bugünkü Muğla İli, Bodrum İlçesi, Gümüşlük Beldesi'nde yer alan antik bir liman kentidir. İ.Ö. geç 2. binde Lelegler tarafından kurulan sekiz kentten birisidir. Antik yazar Herodot, kentin İ.Ö. 500'de Attik-Delos Deniz Birliği'nin ilk üyelerinden birisi olduğunu kaleme almıştır. Antik Karia Bölgesi'nin başkenti Halikarnassos'un savunmasında ön karakol niteliği taşıyan ve uzun yıllar liman kenti olma özelliğini koruyan Myndos, Hristiyanlık döneminde ise, Karia Eparchiası'na bağlı bir piskoposluk merkezine dönüşmüştür.Myndos öreninde bulunan ve Tavşan Adası veya Asar Adası olarak anılan kara parçası aslında bir zamanlar ana karanın bir uzantısıdır ve limanın girişini koruyan en stratejik noktadır. 2004 yılında Prof. Dr. Mustafa ŞAHİN başkanlığında yürütülen yüzey araştırmaları, 2008 yılında yaptırılan zemin etütleri esnasında detaylı bir şekilde incelenen Asar Adası'nda, anıtsal bir yapının varlığı tespit edilmiş ve 2009 yılında ilk bilimsel kazı gerçekleştirilmiştir. Devam etmekte olan kazılar sırasında, Orta Çağ mimarisini yansıtan yerleşim dokusu ve aynı sürece ait arkeolojik buluntular ortaya çıkmaya başlamıştır. 2009 ve 2010 yılında ortaya çıkan toplam 11 adet Bizans Mezarı, kentin geç dönem tarihi hakkında bilgi sahibi olmamızı sağlamaktadır.Bu tez çalışması kapsamında, mezarların mimari dokuları; içlerinden çıkan altın elbise aplikeleri, kemer tokaları, sikkeler, seramikler, takılar, madalyonlar, metal ve cam buluntular değerlendirilmiştir.Yapılan tüm çalışmalar sonucunda, Myndos Asar Adası Mezarları İ.S. 6 ve 7. yy.'a tarihlendirilmiştir. Mezarların, mimari özellikleri ve küçük buluntuları açısından, döneminde Batı Anadolu'daki kültür birliğine bağlı kaldığı ortaya çıkmıştır. | tr_TR |
| dc.description.abstract | Myndos is an ancient port city located in the Province of Muğla, District of Bodrum, Town of Gümüşlük. It is one the eight cities which were established by the Leleges 2000 B.C. at the latest. Ancient writer Herodotus wrote that the city was one of the first members of Attica-Delos Sea League in 500 B.C. Myndos having served as a front guard in the defence of Halicarnassus, the capital of Ancient Caria Region, and maintained to be a port city for long years turned into an episcopal centre connected to the eparchy of Caria in the Christian period.The land located at the ruins of Myndos and called as Rabbit Island or Asar Island was once actually is an extension of the mainland and the most strategic point protecting the entrance to the port. A monumental structure has been found to exist on the Asar Island examined in detail during the surface researches carried out under the presidency of Prof. Dr. Mustafa ŞAHİN in 2004 and the ground surveys conducted in 2008 and the first scientific excavation has been performed in 2009. During the continuing excavations, the settlement pattern reflecting the Medieval architecture and the archaeological findings belonging to the same period have started to emerge. A total of 11 Byzantine tombs having emerged in 2009 and 2010 provide us information about the history of the late period of the city.Within the scope of this thesis study, the architectural patterns of the tombs, and the golden dress appliqués, belt buckles, coins, ceramics, jewelleries, medallions, and metal and glass findings they contained have been evaluated.As a result of all of the researches carried out, Myndos Asar Island Tombs has been dated to the 6th and 7th centuries B.C. In terms of the architectural features and small findings of the tombs, it has been found out that they had abided by the cultural union in the Western Anatolia in its era. | en_US |
