dc.description.abstractBirinci Dünya Savaşı, arka planında temeli XIX. Yüzyıla tarihlenen Avrupa merkezli siyasi, iktisadi ve sosyal dinamiklerin etken olduğu global bir sonuçtu. Savaşın nedenlerini oluşturan siyasi ve iktisadi dönüşüm ve değişimler tüm toplumları ve siyasal yapıları da etkiledi. Osmanlı İmparatorluğu ve onun hakimiyeti altındaki Arap coğrafyası da bu küresel değişim ve dönüşümün dışında kalamadı. Bu çalışmanın konusunu oluşturan dönemdeki askeri gelişmeler ve sonuçları, yukarıda belirtilen dinamikler ve onların oluşturduğu arka plan geniş şekilde göz önünde tutularak araştırılmıştır. İncelenen dönem öncesinde bölgenin siyasi, iktisadi ve sosyal dinamikleri ortaya konarak, merkezinde Mustafa Kemal'in bulunduğu askeri hareketlerin geliştiği ortamın genel yapısı oluşturulmuştur. Mustafa Kemal'in de içinde yer aldığı militer faaliyetler, bir anlamda bu genel yapıyı oluşturan yerel ya da bölge dışı dinamiklerin işlevselliğine Osmanlı İmparatorluğu' nun verdiği refleksti. Bu refleks Suriye- Filistin bölgesini imparatorluk sınırları içinde tutmaya yetmedi.tr_TR
dc.description.abstractThe first World War was the global outcome of European centred political, economic and social dynamics. Political and economic reasons that caused the war also effected participant's social and political structure. The Ottoman Empire and Arabic peninsula dominated by the Ottomans was not an exception. Military developments and its results, the main theme of our study, are evaluated in accordance with the aforementioned dynamics. To begin with I tried to make clear the political, economic and social dynamics of that area on the eve of The first World War. Then I attempted to depict the military movements in which Mustafa Kemal proved to be a prominent figure. These military movements was a kind of Ottoman reaction. However they were not enough to keep the Syria-Palestine area within the Ottoman boundaries.en_US
