| dc.description.abstract | Bu araştırma Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Yabancı Diller Eğitimi Bölümü İngiliz Dili Eğitimi Ana Bilim Dalı İngilizce Öğretmenliği Programında hazırlık sınıfı okuyarak ve atlayarak birinci sınıfa devam eden öğrencilerin, birinci sınıf sonundaki başarıları arasında anlamlı bir fark olup olmadığını; fark varsa bu farklılıkların neler olduğunu ortaya çıkarmak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini 1998-99 öğretim yılında Uludağ Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi İngilizce öğretmenliği birinci sınıfında okuyan tüm öğrenciler oluşturmuştur. Bu öğrencilerden tesadüfi örneklem alma yoluna gidilmiş ve hazırlık okuyarak birinci sınıfa geçenlerden 24, hazırlık atlayarak birinci sınıfa geçenlerden 60 olmak üzere, toplam 84 öğrenci ile çalışılmıştır. İlk olarak, öğrencileri daha iyi tanımlamak açısından bir kişisel bilgi formu uygulanmıştır. Daha sonra eğitimi kabullenmeleri ile başarıları arasındaki ilişkiyi görmek için öğrencilere eğitimi kabullenme tutum envanteri verilmiştir. Hazırlık okuyan ve atlayan öğrencilerin başarıları arasındaki farkı test etmek için, İngilizce Dil bilgisi (Gramer) ve Metin Okuma-İnceleme dersleriyle ilgili birinci sınıf boyunca okuyacakları konulara dayanan 100 soruluk bir test akademik yıl başında ön test, yıl sonunda da son test olarak öğrencilere verilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara aradaki farklılık ve ilişkiyi belirlemek için "Bağımlı ve bağımsız t-testi" ile "Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyonu" formülleri uygulanmıştır. Farkın anlamlı olup olmadığına ilişkin kararlarda.05 anlamlılık düzeyi esas alınmıştır. Örneklem olarak seçilen öğrencilere ait kişisel bilgilerin, iki grup arasında farklılık gösterip göstermediği araştırılmış, sonuçlar birbirine yakın çıkmıştır. Hazırlık okuyan ve atlayan öğrencilerin Eğitimi Kabullenme Tutum Envanterinden aldıkları puanların aritmetik ortalamaları arasında da anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır. Her iki grubun da her iki dersten ön test ve son test başarı puanları ortalamaları arasındaki farklılık araştırılmış, aralarında anlamlı bir fark çıkmamıştır. Sonuç olarak grupların kendi içlerinde ön test ve son test başarı puanları arasında farklılık bulunsa da, hazırlık okuyan ve atlayan iki grubun birbirleri arasında bir fark bulunamamıştır, öğrenciler akademik yıl boyunca uygulanan programdan birbirlerine yakın miktarda artış göstererek yararlanmışlardır. | dc.description.abstract | This research has been carried out to determine whether there's a significant difference in the success of students in the English Teacher Training Programme of Uludağ University Education Faculty Foreign Languages Department, and if there's a difference in the achivement at the end of the first grade between the students who attended the first grade by passing the entrance exam and who came to the first grade by studying the prep class. The population of the research covers all the first grade students in Uludağ University Education Faculty English Teacher Training department in 1998-99 Academic year. The samples were randomly chosen from these students and 24 from those who studied the prep class, 60 from those who attended directly the first grade by passing the entrance exam, totally the research was studied with 84 students. Firstly, a questionnaire related with the personal information about the students was given to the samples in the aim of knowing them well. Secondly, to find out the corelation between the students' success and the behaviour of accepting the education, an education accepting manner scale was given to them. In order to test the difference between the two groups of students mentioned above, related with the subjects of English Grammar and Reading of the first year curriculum, a pretest at the beginning of the year and a posttest at the end of the year were given to the students. To find out the corelation and differences between the results, "Dependent and Independent t-tests" andTearson f formulas wereapplied to the findings. To decide that if there's a significant difference between the results,.05 significance level is used. The differences of the findings of the personal information questionnaire related with the two group of sample students are searched and found out that the results are close to each other. Also there is no significant difference between the means of two groups in terms of "education accepting manner scale" results between two groups. The differences between the pretest and posttest achievements of the two group students are analised, but no significant difference is found. As a result, although there is a little difference between the pretest and posttest results in the groups themselves; there is not a significant difference between the two groups. This means that all the students of the two groups got the same usage from the curriculum done during the first grade academic year. Anyway, the increase that the students got is not at the desired level. | en_US |
