| dc.description.abstract | Afganistan’ın kuzeybatısında olan Herat, dünyadaki çok eski şehirlerden olup ülkenin başkentidir. Halen Batı Afganistan’ının başkenti olan Herat şehri, daha geniş bir bölge için stratejik, ticarî ve kültürel öneme sahiptir. Her ne kadar şehir, modern zamanlarda geniş ölçüde gelişmiş ve her ne kadar çatışmanın yol açtığı sıkıntılarla karşı karşıya kalmış olsa da, tarihî ayak izini büyük ölçüde koruduğu ve birçok önemli İslâmî anıtın yaşadığı benzersiz bir yerdir. Herat bölgesi, kabaca Afganistan’ın batı ovalarının üçte birini oluşturmakta olup İran’a sınırı bulunmakta ve Horasan eyaletinin doğusuna doğru uzanmaktadır. Herat, kısmen korunmuş bir dış duvarla çevrili olan eski şehirden oluşur. Kare planda yapılanan eski şehir, dört mahalleye ayrılmıştır. İlk çağlardan itibaren bu coğrafya, bir tampon bölge oluşturması sebebiyle birçok farklı kavmin ve etnik grubun hayat sürdürdüğü bir saha olmuştur. Bölge, stratejik konumu dolayısıyla çok sayıda farklı kültür, din ve medeniyete ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Buna bağlı olarak başta Herat şehri olmak üzere bölgenin hemen tamamı dinî yapılarla donatılmış, ilim adamları, entelektüeller, şairler, sanatkârlar ve din adamlarıyla yoğrulan bir yer olmuştur. Herat, günümüzde de ilgi odağı olup özellikle İslâm medeniyetinin belirgin izlerini taşımaya devam etmektedir. | tr_TR |
| dc.description.abstract | Herat, located in the northwest of Afghanistan, is one of the oldest cities in the world and capital of the country. The city of Herat, which is currently the regional capital of western Afghanistan, has strategic, commercial and cultural importance for a wider region. Although, the city has been extensively developed in modern times and is faced with the hardship of conflict, the site is a unique place where it has preserved its historical footprint and has many important Islamic monuments. The Herat region roughly constitutes one third of the western plains of Afghanistan and has a border with Iran and extends to the east of the Khorasan province. The city of Herat consists of an old and old town surrounded by a partially preserved exterior wall. The old town, which is almost square to the plan, is divided into four neighborhoods created at the gates of the old city. Since the early ages, this geography has been a site where many different tribes and ethnic groups have lived because it has been a buffer zone. The region has been home to a wide range of cultures, religions and civilizations thanks to its strategic location. Accordingly, almost all of the region, especially the city of Herat has been equipped with religious structures, scientists, intellectuals, poets, craftsmen and it has been also a place kneaded with religious scholaras. Herat is still the center of attraction today and it continues to bear significant traces of Islamic civilization. | en_US |
