Ortaokul bilişim teknolojileri ve yazılım dersi programının öğretmen görüşlerine göre değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, Bilişim Teknolojileri ve Yazılım dersi programını öğretmen görüşleri doğrultusunda değerlendirmektir. Araştırma betimsel bir çalışma olup tarama modeli kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma, 2012-2013 öğretim yılında Bursa ili merkez ilçelerindeki (Osmangazi, Yıldırım, Nilüfer) ortaokullarda görev yapan 45 Bilişim Teknolojileri öğretmeni ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. BT öğretmenlerinin araştırma ile ilgili görüşlerini toplamak için araştırmacı tarafından bir anket geliştirilmiş ve uygulanmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde araştırmanın alt problemlerine yanıt bulmak amacıyla frekans, ortalama, t-Testi ve Mann-Whitney U Testi teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulguları alt problemlere göre sunulmuş ve yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre öğretmenlerin genel olarak program hakkındaki görüşlerinin olumlu olduğu saptanmıştır. Bilişim Teknolojileri öğretmenlerinin öğretim programının belirlenen alt boyutları ile ilgili görüşlerinin cinsiyete göre farklılık göstermediği ortaya konmuştur. Nitel verilerin analizi sonucunda ise, haftalık ders saati, içeriğin güncelliği, programın esnekliği, uygulanan yaş grubu ve yazılım yönünün ön plana çıkması programın olumlu yönleri; dersin seçmeli olması, kılavuz kitabın olmaması, açıklamaların yetersizliği, BT sınıfının sorunları ve dersin notla değerlendirilmemesi olumsuz yönleri olarak görülmüştür.

The aim of this research is to evaluate Information Technology and Software Course according to teachers' opinions. This study is a descriptive type of research and survey model was used. The study was carried out with the participation of 45 information technologies (IT) teachers working at secondary schools in the central districts of Bursa (Osmangazi, Yıldırım, Nilüfer) in the academic year 2012-2013. The researcher has prepared and used a questionnaire in order to collect data from IT teachers. In order to answer the sub-problems of the research, means, frequencies, Mann Whitney U Test and t-Test were utilized for the analysis of the data. The findings of the research were interpreted according to defined sub-problems. In the light of the findings, the teachers' opinions about the curriculum were determined to be generally positive.The IT teachers' opinions related to the dimensions of education programme of the course showed that there is no significant difference according to their gender. As a result of the analysis of qualitative data; weekly course hours, flexibility of the programme, the software aspects, age group and the updated content are the positive aspects; being elective course, the absence of guide book, the lack of explanation, IT-class problems and the course's not being evaluated with a grade are negative aspects.
